Hopkins County man dead after partially-submerged car found in river

A death investigation is underway in Hopkins County after a car was found partially submerged in the Trade Water River near Dawson Springs.

Deputies from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department were called to a location on the river on Olney Road near the Caldwell County line Saturday night and found 51-year old Marshall Neisz of Dawson Springs inside the partially-submerged car.

Neisz was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
