A traffic stop for a violation at North Elm Street and Glass Avenue Monday afternoon led to the arrest of a passenger on drug trafficking charges.
An arrest citation for 22-year old Gerparia Killibrew of Hopkinsville says the vehicle was stopped for not using a turn signal and that there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger window.
Killebrew was asked to step out of the car and police say there was a loaded firearm magazine between the seat and the door. He allegedly admitted he had marijuana in a bag inside the car and a digital scale was also located.
Officers also found a small bag of pills of an unknown type, according to the report.
Killibrew was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
