Former University Heights standout and current Murray State freshman Lilly Strader scored her first collegiate goal for the Racers in a 2-1 over Indiana. Strader’s goal gave Murray State a 1-0 lead. The Racers play at Northern Kentucky Sunday afternoon.

A local Tennessee Walking Horse trainer is bringing a world championship title back home to Crofton after a victory at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration this past week. The Kentucky Department of Local Government has announced that multiple local communities in the state will receive funding for projects, including Morton’s Gap in Hopkins County. According to a news release, the grants will fund community projects across the state, ranging from infrastructure improvements to flood control projects and energy conservation initiatives.
