Titans sign center Ben Jones to new deal

The Tennessee Titans are keeping center Ben Jones in the middle of their offensive line with a multi-year contract extension. The Titans announced the deal Friday. Terms were not disclosed. Jones signed with Tennessee as a free agent in 2016 with this the final year of that deal. Local horse trainer brings home world championship title

A local Tennessee Walking Horse trainer is bringing a world championship title back home to Crofton after a victory at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration this past week. Morton’s Gap receives funding for water infrastructure improvement

The Kentucky Department of Local Government has announced that multiple local communities in the state will receive funding for projects, including Morton’s Gap in Hopkins County. According to a news release, the grants will fund community projects across the state, ranging from infrastructure improvements to flood control projects and energy conservation initiatives.  In Morton’s Gap, which received $835,000 in funding, that amount will go towards water system infrastructure improvements. Multiple law enforcement agencies will be out in force on Labor Day weekend to help keep the roadways safe, and the Hopkinsville Police Department will be among them. Sgt.
