UK will not expand alcohol sales at sports events

The University of Kentucky will not be expanding alcohol sales this year at athletic events despite a new Southeastern Conference policy allowing for expansion of sales at sporting events.

UK athletic director Mitch Barnhart said Thursday the school doesn’t want to change the general seating environment, instead preferring to keep it family-friendly. The school already sells alcohol in premium luxury suites.
