Trenton man arrested on DUI, meth charges following crash

Hopkinsville police arrested a Trenton man on DUI and methamphetamine charges after he struck a parked vehicle Friday evening on East Ninth Street.

The arrest citation for 44-year old Christopher Davis of Trenton says he was lethargic and unable to recall simple information when officers arrived at the scene of the crash in the 1400 block of East Ninth a few minutes after 7 p.m.

He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and allegedly admitted to smoking ‘spice’ prior to driving.

Police say a baggie of meth and synthetic marijuana was located outside of his vehicle.

Davis was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of meth, possession of synthetic drugs and tampering with evidence.
