Christian County scored 11 times in the fifth inning to down Fort Campbell 18-2 in five innings. Austin Fields was 3-4 and had one of the four Colonel home runs. Lane Diuguid, Eric Silvy and Wyatt Stevenson all went yard for Christian County.
Fort Campbell was held to five hits, with Tyler MacKay getting two of them. Jase Polley went the distance in getting the pitching win for Christian County while starter Ryan Sawyer took the loss for Fort Campbell. Christian County is 8-4 overall and 4-0 in 8th district games while Fort Campbell is now 1-8 overall and 0-4 in district action.
Christian County has added a game to its schedule, hosting Henderson County today at 6 pm at Colonel Field.
Hopkinsville routed Henderson County 17-5 in a contest which saw the Colonels commit five errors. Landon Snyder went 3-4 with three runs batted in. Layne Jorgensen also had three hits in five at bats for the Tigers including a double. Preston Chaudoin picked up the pitching win as Hopkinsville improved to 10-4.
