A Vietnam veteran who recently died with no surviving family members will be laid to rest in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville Friday morning and it’s hoped members of local communities will be there to show their respects.
Graveside services for 73-year old Michael Hardin of Clarksville will be 9 a.m. Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Hardin served in the U.S. Army as a dental lab specialist and completed a tour in Vietnam.
He had no known surviving family members and VFW Post 4730 in Dover, Tennessee put out a call this week asking for anyone who can to attend and honor the fallen veteran.
McReynolds, Nave and Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville is in charge of the arrangements.
