No people were injured in a bus versus horse and buggy collision on Howard Dickerson Road Monday afternoon, but the horse was killed.
According to Christian County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Chris Miller, deputies responded to Howard Dickerson a few minutes before 3 for reports of a crash between a Christian County Public School System school bus and a horse and buggy.
Investigation reportedly determined that the buggy pulled out in front of the bus and although the driver of the buggy said they attempted to get the horse to stop in time, the horse continued into the bus’s path.
No students on the bus or the riders in the buggy were injured. Unfortunately, the horse was killed in the collision.
