Kentucky was bestowed post season honors Monday as Coach Mark Stoops was named the Associated Press Coach of the Year with senior linebacker Josh Allen named the AP’s SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
Also, Allen was named the winner of the Bronko Nagurski award given to the nation’s top defensive player. Allen is the first Kentucky player and only the fourth SEC player to win this award.
