The Cincinnati Reds have hired Derek Johnson to be their pitching coach. He was the pitching coach for the Milwaukee Brewers the past three seasons. Johnson was also the Chicago Cubs minor league pitching coordinator from 2013 through 2015. Prior to that he was the Vanderbilt pitching coach and helped develop first-round picks and future major leaguers, including David Price, Mike Minor and Sonny Gray.
