Traffic stop leads to arrest on meth charge

A traffic stop by Hopkinsville Police Saturday night led to the arrest of a local man on methamphetamine charges.

Officers stopped 43-year old Ryan Christopher Graves of Hopkinsville at Country Club Lane and Hickory Ridge Circle a few minutes after 10 p.m. for having an expired license plate, according to the arrest citation.

A K9 alerted on the vehicle and police say they found a small baggie of methamphetamine and a scale with meth residue inside.

Graves was arrested and charged with possession of meth, failure to maintain insurance, failure to transfer the title of the vehicle and driving without a valid registration.
