Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a man was shot with a handgun Tuesday evening on Stanley Street.
Officers received a call of shots fired near 817 Stanley about 8:25 p.m. and soon learned the victim had been taken by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, according to Detectives Sgt. Charles Nichols.
The victim, 29-year old Arthur Tandy of Hopkinsville, was transferred to a Nashville hospital and was listed in stable condition.
The shooting happened in the middle of the street, but it isn’t clear what led up to the incident, according to Sgt. Nichols, who said no arrest had been made.
