The Hopkinsville Lions Club recently made a contribution to the Hopkinsville Community College Atwood Textbook Scholarship Program.
Club President Terry Kaler recently presented the $500 check to HCC President Dr. Alissa Young and the college’s Chief Advancement Officer and Foundation Executive Director, Yvette Eastham.
A news release says the program is managed by the Hopkinsville Community College Foundation and the endowment was initiated with fund-raising efforts by former board member Terry Hamby of Cadiz.
Individual student awards have grown to $500 per semester because of the success of fundraising efforts.
