Woman shot on Perry Street

A woman was shot early Saturday morning on Perry Street.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Perry and found the victim outside with gunshot wounds to the leg, according to Hopkinsville Police Lt. Seth Meek.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken first to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then flown to a Nashville hospital.

No description of a suspect was available and no arrest had been made.
