Hopkinsville City Council will have to redo first reading of its operational budget for the upcoming fiscal year when it meets Tuesday night and a special-called meeting is scheduled for final reading.
First reading of an amended version of the budget ordinance is on the agenda for the 6 p.m. Tuesday meeting. Deputy City Clerk Anna Mohon says Step F of the pay scale was incorrect in the ordinance that was approved June 5. The budget totals do not change in the ordinance; it’s simply a matter of correcting the error.
The special-called meeting will be 5:45 p.m. Thursday, immediately before Hopkinsville City Council Committee of the Whole’s regular session.
