Hoppers suffer first loss at Owensboro

The Hoptown Hoppers suffered their first loss of the season last night, falling to the Owensboro Riverdawgs 9-1 at Independence Bank Field. Owensboro scored seven times in the fourth inning to get the win. The Hoppers lone run came in the sixth inning when Cole Cummings scored on a ground out by Blake Jackson. The Hoppers were held to just two hits, a double by Aiden Elias and a single by Cody Hartness. Sam Traver took the pitching loss for the Hoppers.
