Madisonville pursuit ends with arrest

A vehicle pursuit in Madisonville early Wednesday morning ended with the arrest of a man from Missouri.

Madisonville Police were notified of a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot of a closed business about 12:15 a.m. and the vehicle fled the scene when officers arrived.

A news release says the car almost hit a police cruiser and then fled at a high rate of speed down South Main Street, weaving in and out of traffic. It continued through Earlington and onto Sugar Creek Road before the driver turned off the lights and turned into a residence.

Officers located 44-year old Robert Keown of Fenton, Missouri inside, along with 59-year old Judy O’Neal of Sugar Creek Road.

Keown was wanted on warrants out of Missouri and Hopkins County and faces new charges of wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license.

O’Neal, the homeowner, was arrested for hindering apprehension of a fugitive and menacing.
