Mother says son was assaulted by school bus driver

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a woman said her son was assaulted by the driver of a Christian County school bus last week.

The mother of the Millbrooke Elementary School student told School Resource Officer Patricia Alexander that the bus driver jerked her son up by his shirt and pushed him into the dash of the bus on the afternoon of February 27.

Lt. Kyle Spurlin says an investigation is ongoing to determine if an assault was committed.

The alleged incident happened in the 3400 block of Ginger Drive between 2:30 and 3 p.m.

The alleged victim was not injured in the incident.
