Russellville man hurt in vehicle versus pedestrian collision

The Russellville Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian collision that sent the pedestrian to Greenview Hospital for his injuries.

According to a news release, a vehicle operated by Paul Coles of Russellville was backing out of a parking spot at Five Start while James Simmons of Russellville was reportedly walking behind the vehicle. Coles struck Simmons with the vehicle.

Simmons was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital and then later to Greenview Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
