Elkton woman injured in accident dies

The Elkton woman involved in an accident Monday afternoon on the US 68 Bypass in Russellville has died.

Latham Funeral Home sent out a notice that 84-year old Ethel Mae Poe of Elkton died from her injuries Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Poe was a passenger in a pickup driven by 63-year old John D. Hancock of Russellville.

Hancock, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had been driving on KY 178 when he collided with a semi at the US 68 Bypass intersection. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
