Transportation Cabinet announces road widening project in Dawson Springs

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that a road widening project on U.S. 62 also known as East Arcadia Avenue in Dawson Springs is underway. The project will widen U.S. 62 from the Dawson Springs Board of Education to Dawson Springs City Park. Dawson Springs receives industrial development grant

Gov. Andy Beshear announced the approval of $2.6 million in state funding for projects to develop industrial sites and buildings in Fulton, Hickman and Hopkins counties on Thursday. Nine hurt in Hopkins County crash

Engine failure led to a rear-end collision Sunday night on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County that injured nine people, including several juveniles. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department says 19-year old Michelle Vannoy of Earlington was southbound near the 117 mile-marker about 7:45 p.m. when her car stalled in the travel portion of the interstate.
