HPD investigating theft of vehicle on Richard Street

Hopkinsville police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from Richard Street Monday.  According to the Hopkinsville police report, an unknown suspect caused damage to the door of the victim’s residence on Richard Street, before stealing the victim’s vehicle and leaving the scene. The vehicle, described as a Hyundai Sonata, was valued at $15,000 and is gray in color. The incident is being investigated as felony theft of an automobile

Six Hopkinsville residents indicted federally on fentanyl, meth distribution charges

Six Hopkinsville residents are facing federal charges of conspiring to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine after they were indicted in September.  According to the indictments returned by a federal grand jury, 54-year-old Jay Brown, 35-year-old Joseph Brown, 39-year-old Vanchaize Brown, 34-year-old Deerrica Finch, 43-year-old Jane Majors and 41-year-old Tapaulda Hancock, all of Hopkinsville, were charged with conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute and distributing 400 grams or more of […]

AG Cameron announces funding to fight the opioid crisis in Kentucky

More funding is on the way to help organizations across Kentucky fight against the ongoing opioid epidemic.  Thirty-four organizations have been awarded nearly $14 million in grant funding from the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Committee, with Attorney General Daniel Cameron saying this new round of funding is in addition to the $8 million that was awarded earlier this year. Clarksville PD investigating three-vehicle crash

The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a three-vehicle crash on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway that sent one person to the hospital.  According to a news release, the crash occurred between Whitfield Road and Peachers Mill Road at Westcreek Bridge around 12:30 a.m, shutting down the roadway for several hours. One person was transported to Tennova Healthcare, where their condition is currently unknown.  No other information was immediately available.

Camper destroyed in fire on Ashley Court

A person was displaced following a fire on Ashley Court Monday afternoon.  Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Payton Rogers tells WHOP News that the five-wheel camper that was serving as a primary residence was destroyed by fire. The Red Cross was called to assist the owner of the camper, who has been displaced.  No one was injured in the blaze.

Pedestrian hurt in Madisonville collision

A pedestrian was injured in a collision at Kroger in Madisonville Monday afternoon.  According to a news release from the Madisonville Police Department, it happened in the parking lot of Kroger near the front entrance when a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Johnny Eden of Madisonville was heading east in the parking lot.  Eden reportedly stated he was waving to a friend and did not see 69-year-old Regina Bowles of Madisonville […]
