A Clarksville man was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department Thursday after methamphetamine was found in the vehicle he was operating.

According to the police report, deputies responded to the area of the 2800 block of Greenville Road for reports of a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting stationary for several hours. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with 24-year old Brian Bell of Clarksville, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.  A strong smell of marijuana reportedly came from the vehicle and deputies asked Bell to step out and asked him if there was any marijuana in the vehicle.

Bell allegedly replied no, there was no marijuana, but there was meth and drug paraphernalia. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed approximately one gram of meth inside the vehicle and a pipe. Under the driver’s seat they reportedly found what was left of a marijuana cigarette.

Bell was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
