Winter is drawing near and to help keep the community warm, Hopkinsville Electric System is inviting folks to donate new or gently used winter apparel to their second annual Stuff the Bucket Truck Donation Drive.
Robin Tabor-Atkins from HES shared that a lot of people participated in last year’s donation drive and each night the bucket truck was full of clothes, so she is excited to bring it back.
Tabor-Atkins says they are looking for hats, scarves, gloves, socks, coats and blankets. The items will be donated to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Salvation Army where they will be given to those in need.
Donations can be dropped off at the yellow bucket truck parked in front of HES at 1820 East 9th Street in Hopkinsville. Due to the inclement weather, Tabor-Atkins says they will also have a donation box inside in the lobby.
The donation drive kicks off on Wednesday and concludes on Friday.
