The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has released details on the Newstead Road wreck that sent a Cadiz woman to the hospital Wednesday morning.
According to the collision report, the wreck occurred near the two-mile-marker when a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Phyllis McGraw of Cadiz ran off of the road and down into an embankment. McGraw told deputies that she did not remember being in a collision, but investigation determined that her vehicle had gone off the road, struck a culvert and traveled back into the roadway before rolling backwards into the ditch.
McGraw was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of multiple wounds to her arm and an apparent injury to her right ankle.
