Kentucky State Police have released more information about a wreck that occurred Sunday on I-24 in Caldwell County.
According to a news release, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. near the 57 mile marker of I-24 when a vehicle driven by 30-year old Destiny Couch of Antioch, Tennessee began to pass another vehicle heading eastbound. For an unknown reason, as she was passing the automobile operated by 33-year-old Eric Zimmer of Allas, Georgia, the front of her vehicle hit the rear driver’s side of his vehicle.
Zimmer’s vehicle went off the road, flipping multiple times before coming to a stop upright.
Couch was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
