The Christian County Health Department reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Christian County during Tuesday’s press conference.
That means there are still three cases in the community—a 61-year old female, a 24-year old male and a 21-year old female who was in direct contact with the 24-year old—and Amanda Sweeney with the health department says they are self-isolated at home and in good spirits.
Beth McCraw with Jennie Stuart Health says since last Friday they have had 13 tests return and only one was positive, which was the 21-year old female.
Sweeney thanked the community for its strong response to social distancing and other moves to help suppress the spread of coronavirus, and says you can definitely tell the results when compared to surrounding states.
She says if you see a business that is not complying with the Governor’s orders, you can call a new hotline and report it.
Sweeney says the best practices continue to be frequent and thorough hand washing and social distancing of up to six feet. The Christian County Health Department and Emergency Management will have weekly updates on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:30 p.m.
