A quick response by Greenville firefighters Saturday night contained a fire in a home to the area of a clothes dryer.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 300 block of Luzeme Depoy Road about 7:50 p.m. and found smoke coming from the rear eaves of the structure. The homeowners said they saw flames in the laundry room area and heavy smoke was encountered inside.
Crews were able to determine the flames had not spread from the area of the dryer and they quickly doused the blaze.
No one was injured in the blaze and firefighters removed the dryer from the home before departing.
