The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is giving motorists a heads up that bridge work will soon begin over Panther Creek in Lyon County.
According to a news release, the existing bridge along KY 819 north of KY 93 will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge—work is set to start on Monday, which means that portion of the roadway will be closed to traffic.
Officials are hopeful that the new bridge will be complete and open to traffic by mid-March, with final paving set for the spring.
Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
