Oak Grove PD investigating two cases of animal cruelty

The Oak Grove Police Department is asking for the public’s help in an investigation into animal cruelty.

According the department, two dogs were recently discovered in very bad conditions—one of the dogs passed away, due to extreme neglect and being left exposed to the recent intense heat. Pictures of the canines can be found on the Oak Grove Police Department Facebook page, and officials are asking for anyone who recognizes those dogs or knows who they belonged to, to contact the department at 270-439-4602.

They urge people to never abandon their pets to the elements, especially in such conditions.  Even though the Christian County Animal Shelter is full, they will never turn away an animal, and there are additional resources available for those needing to rehome their pets.
