Durrett Avenue home destroyed in fire

A house on Durrett Avenue is a total loss after it was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning. According to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, a neighbor in the 1300 block of Durrett Avenue smelled smoke and realized that a home nearby was on fire. Oak Grove Police arrest Mississippi man for waving gun at passing cars

Oak Grove Police arrested 47-year-old Tyler Hansen of Long Beach, Mississippi after he reportedly waved a firearm at passing cars on Monday. At around 7 p.m. officers were dispatched to an area near Thompsonville Lane for reports of a man waving a gun at passing cars. Paving to get underway this week on KY 181 in Muhlenberg

Lady Tigers complete The Grind Session play Tuesday

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers finished up play in The Grind Session on Tuesday at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex. The Lady Tigers, who played Christian County on Monday night, took on Region 1 power Calloway County on Tuesday evening. Hoptown must replace three key starters from last year's team. The Hopkinsville Tigers varsity basketball team played a pair of games at The Grind Session on Tuesday evening at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville.
