Stateline Road to be closed for railroad crossing work for two weeks

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is giving motorists a reminder that the United States Department of Defense will be blocking a portion of Stateline Road near Fort Campbell starting this week. 

Crews started the closure Tuesday morning, and the work will allow them to make needed upgrades to a railroad crossing near Walton Road. The road will stay blocked in that area until roughly June 16 as the crossing is replaced and new signaling equipment is installed. 

Stateline Road will remain open on both sides of the crossing, with local traffic on either side still able to use the roadway.  But motorists will not be able to cross over the railroad tracks during this time.
