Mayor announces the formation of an economic development committee

Hopkinsville City Council has been handling more economic matters, and at a recent meeting Mayor J.R. Knight announced that the council is forming a committee to better address economic development.

Knight shared that the Economic Development Committee will consist of Ward Three Council member Don Marsh, Ward Four Council member Chuck Crabtree, Ward 11 Council member Jason Bell and City Attorney Doug Willen.

Knight says the committee will create guidelines for industries planning to establish facilities in Hopkinsville.

At a future council meeting, the committee will be officially formed through an executive order.
