The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is giving a heads up to motorists using I-24 in Christian County—on Monday, there will be lane restrictions in place to allow for a concrete rehabilitation project.
According to a news release, the work will begin at the 91-mile-marker—a mile west of the Kentucky Welcome Center in Oak Grove—and I-24 westbound will be reduced to one lane while crews make repairs to the concrete surface.
The work zone and corresponding lane restrictions will move westward along the interstate as work progresses, eventually ending at the 83-mile marker, near Exit 86.
The project is expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
