The Kentucky Lottery sees a record-breaking $1.5 billion in prizes for its 35th anniversary, but more than just lottery winners will see the benefits to the record sales.
This year, with the record-breaking sales, comes an unparalleled amount of money transferred to the lottery funded scholarships and grants. These scholarships benefit countless students through programs like KEES money, Kentucky Tuition Grants, dual credit and work ready scholarships.
The scholarship funding has increased 6 percent this past year with a total of $5 billion going towards the various programs, with the end goal to help encourage Kentucky students to stay in Kentucky and its growing workforce.
