A Clarksville man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Old Clarksville Pike in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon.
The Hopkinsville police report states that vehicles driven by 32-year-old Eric Maxie of Hopkinsville and 23-year-old Kadeem Brown of Clarksville were stopped at the stop sign at Old Clarksville Pike and Fort Campbell Boulevard, waiting for traffic to pass.
Maxie reportedly told officers that he saw a break in the traffic and assumed that the vehicle—driven by Brown—in front of him would go, so he hit the gas, striking the back of Brown’s vehicle.
Brown was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of a laceration over his eye. Maxie was not injured.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
