Clarksville PD investigating fatal shooting

The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting from Wednesday night as a homicide. According to a news release, officers responded to reports of a vehicle that was crashed near the front entrance of Target on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver—a 22-year-old male victim—had a gunshot wound. Trial set to go on July 31 for Hazel Street murder case

Leon Grimes, the man charged with murder in the 2021 shooting death of Calvin Buckner, is still set to go to trial on July 31. Trial has been delayed in the murder case against Bobby Spikes, as he awaits DNA testing to come back from the testing lab.
