The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting from Wednesday night as a homicide. According to a news release, officers responded to reports of a vehicle that was crashed near the front entrance of Target on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver—a 22-year-old male victim—had a gunshot wound. Leon Grimes, the man charged with murder in the 2021 shooting death of Calvin Buckner, is still set to go to trial on July 31.
