Pennyrile Electric restores power to all members affected by Friday’s weather

Crews from Pennyrile Electric and their cooperative partners and contractors have restored power to all of the members who were put in the dark by Friday’s historic winds and severe weather.

As many as 26,000 members were affected at one time—as many as from the 2009 ice storm.

Pennyrile issued a statement thanking the linemen, contract crews and staff for their dedication to serving their members. They also thanked the people and businesses for their help with crews, fuel, lodging, food and support for their workers.
