Governor Andy Beshear has officially filed to run for a second term.
Flanked by his family and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, Governor Beshear filed the necessary paperwork to run for re-election.
Governor Beshear led Kentucky through the pandemic and he’s proud of the leadership his administration put forth during that time.
No matter how the election turns out, Beshear says he believes they did the right things during the pandemic.
There is currently only one other Democratic candidate running for governor in 2023, Geoff Young.
There are 12 Republicans who have filed to run for governor.
