Lady Blazers led 1-0 at the half and did not seem phased when they gave up an early second half goal to tie it. They stayed poised and worked the ball to their offensive playmakers, ultimately finding the back of the goal on a rather crazy play where not one but two of them got behind the opposing goaltender.

A valiant effort given by the Lady Colonels as Calloway County built an 8-0 halftime lead and controlled the ball for most of the game. Still, the fight never left Christian County and they now have nearly a week to prepare for their rivalry game with Hopkinsville on Monday the 12th!

The Lady Maroons are the number one team in the district, so they certainly needed no help from Christian County on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, the Lady Colonels gave them some. Thirty unforced errors, fourteen of which coming in the first set alone, led to a three set sweep for North Hopkins. Everyone looked out of sorts for the Lady Colonels including stars Hailey Sparks and Rylee Owens. I remarked after the game to Head Coach Rick Erickson that we may never see Sparks play as bad as she did again. he concurred saying it is not often, but happens to the best of them. Christian County will gave a quick turnaround as they are set to face Owensboro Catholic on the road tomorrow evening.

Heritage continues their scrappy style of play and did not let a set, set them back. They took the first two sets before dropping set three and then fighting off a push by fellowship to take set four.
