Hoppers run rule Paducah on Monday night-Move into 3rd place in OVL South

The Hoptown Hoppers have moved into 3rd place in the OVL South after a 13 to 1 win over Paducah on Monday night at Tiger Field. Luis Vergara would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base driving in seven on three hits to lead Hoptown past Paducah.

The Hoppers scored five runs in the seventh inning. Hoptown Hoppers’ offense in the inning was led by Sean Sullivan, Joshua Rodriguez, and Vergara, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Luke Genier earned the victory on the mound for The Hoppers. The pitcher went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six. Chase Harlan threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
