Man served with felony assault warrant

An arrest warrant for felony assault was served Thursday against a Hopkinsville man.

It alleges that on May 3, 35-year old Dezeron Brewer of Hopkinsville assaulted a woman on the head with a pan, causing injuries.

He’s also accused of using force to prevent her from calling police and took the victim’s cell phone and tablet as he fled.

The victim then went to a neighbor’s home and dialed 911.

Brewer is charged with second-degree assault, intimidating a participant in a legal process and theft.
