One injured in accident at West 14th and South Main St.

A two-vehicle accident at South Main and West 14th Street Friday afternoon injured a local teen.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, witnesses told officers that 68-year old Margaret Fields of Hokinsville had a green light as she traveled west on 14th across South Main.

Fields’ SUV was hit in the intersection by a southbound car on Main driven by 18-year old Ashley Shelton of Hopkinsville.

Shelton’s passenger, 18-year old Lamon Thornton of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers refused a trip to the hospital.
