House struck by gunfire on Cates Street

A home was damaged by gunfire on Cates Street in Hopkinsville early Sunday morning.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, the home in the 1000 block of Cates was struck by multiple rounds fired from a fire arm by unknown suspects around 12 p.m. The residence was occupied at the time of the incident.

The incident is being investigated as first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree wanton endangerment.
