The Christian County Health Department reported only 18 new COVID-19 cases locally in the last week, but also one new death.
According to a news release, the victim is described as a 70-year-old male who was unvaccinated. The new numbers do not include at-home COVID tests, but do bring the overall case total locally to 17,109—of that, 71 cases are currently considered active and 16,854 people have recovered from the virus.
Christian County has had 184 COVID deaths.
