Derrick Henry has a chance to play in the Tennessee Titans regular-season finale at Houston Sunday. Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that they are considering designating Henry to return from injured reserve this week. Vrabel said the decision will be made midweek. Woman seriously injured in assault, suspect arrested

A woman was seriously injured in an assault Monday morning at the Cottonwood Apartments on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville and a suspect was arrested. Hopkinsville police charged 36-year old Isaac Benjamin of Hopkinsville with second-degree assault, alleging he caused broken bones and other major injuries to a 43-year old Pembroke woman during the incident that happened about 11 a.m. at 2909 South Virginia. Omicron spreading rapidly in Kentucky

The omicron variant is giving Kentucky its largest surge of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. Governor Andy Beshear announced Monday that Thursday had the highest number of cases for a single day since the pandemic began at 6,441 and the positivity rate is now at 20.72 percent—also a pandemic high. Christian Co. PVA seeking re-election, several file for city council

Christian County PVA Angie Strader filed to run for re-election Monday and several candidates filed for Hopkinsville City Council. Strader, a Democrat, was first elected in 2010 and is seeking a fourth term. She is currently unopposed.
