A dedication was held Wednesday for the new pavilion at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center.
The 30 by 40-foot pavilion will be used at a variety of events including the water festival, Take Kids Fishing, Christmas at the Bend, Naturefest and Torchlight Tales.
The dedication was hosted by the Pennyrile RC&D and featured several speakers including Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble, RC&D Steering Committee Chair Mark Withers, Coordinator Charles Turner, Derrick Watson of HWEA and others.
A crowd of over 30 included representatives from HWEA, HES, Christian County Fiscal Court, Rogers Group, Inc., Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Christian County Chamber of Commerce and the Pennyrile Area Development District.
