CCHD reports 344 new COVID cases in last week

Growth in new cases of COVID-19 continues to escalate in Christian County, as the health department announced 344 new cases in the last week.

Only 13 of those cases, or 3.7 percent, were vaccinated individuals.

Almost a third of the new patients are pediatric cases and 178 of Christian County’s 521 active cases are 21 or younger.

The health department says 288 are between the ages of 22 and 59, 51 are 60 to 84-years old and only four are 85 or older.
