Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is revealing he considered retirement as his standoff with the team dragged on. However, Rodgers told reporters he still has a “big, competitive hole” in his body. Rodgers elaborated Wednesday on his dispute with the team that was the subject of much speculation this offseason.
He said he wanted to help the Packers learn from previous mistakes they made. Rodgers explained that involved not keeping who he described as “high character guys” like Charles Woodson and Jordy Nelson.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is in COVID-19 protocol after testing positive. Jackson tested positive on Tuesday, making it the second time he has contracted the virus. This comes after running back Gus Edwards tested positive for COVID and will miss the first ten days of training camp.

The 2021 NBA Draft takes place tonight in Brooklyn. The Detroit Pistons will hold the first overall selection in the draft. They have been widely linked to prospective top pick and Oklahoma State guard Cade Cunningham. The Houston Rockets have the second pick in the draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic round out the top five in making selections.
