Locals begin play in Kentucky Open Tuesday

The 102nd Kentucky Open began yesterday at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club in Louisville. In the amateur division, Hopkinsville’s Tadd Switzer had a one under 71 while former Christian County and Murray State golfer John Buchanan had a seven over 79. In the professional division, Hopkinsville’s Mitchell Moore had a two under par 70. Amateur Clay Amling of Louisville and professional Brendan Doyle also of Louisville are the co-leaders at seven under 65.
